Anyway, I still think my German is better than most of your Dutch, which is my first language. With that out of the way, over to my introduction: I'm a 21 year old girl, I sometimes live in Middelburg with my boyfriend and sometimes in Leiden, where I attend university. I like reading, making music (nothing very cool, I play the celtic harp), listening to all kinds of music like classical, folk, rock, new wave, triphop and singer-songwriter.Favourite "goth" music: The Cure, Cruxshadows, Clan of Xymox. I go about dressed in a romantic style: dark colours, long skirts, corsets, lace, velvet, satin, gloves, etc. While I myself am only 1.61 m long , my hair is 90 cm.I don't use any make-up. I like messageboards like these because it gives me a chance to talk to likeminded people. To me a big part of what being a goth is all about is history, philosophy, literature, music and also beauty and romance. It doesn't all have to be about darkness, although darkness can be beautiful, too. | surveyor | Hi Ruby, It was very interesting to read your Posting. Something about me: I am 25 years old, from Magdeburg but I work in Mainz. I don´t know so much about the Music, but my favorite band is Nightwish. I just wear dark clothes in my free time, not at work. I am 190 cms tall. My hairs are brown and 65 cms long, but I want to have them longer. Make-up I don´t use too. If you have such long hair, it must look great! Right now, I'm just letting my hair grow to see how long it can get, but every year or so I go to the hairdressers to have it cut, but nobody ever notices:rolleyes: I saw in your post you are quite tall. I'm a small person, but I have noticed that at the gothic parties I go to here in the Neverlands people are almost all my height. Is this the same in Germany? | surveyor | Hello again Ruby, The goths in Germany are as small or as tall as everybody else. Most of the boys between 170 and 190 cms and the girls between 160 and 180 cms. But in my opinion the height of the people is not very imortant. Much more interesting for me is talking about hair. There are a lot of questions I have to you relating to your hair. Lucy, ich denke mal, kein Mensch dieser Welt kommt auf ein [i]German[/i] Gothic Board, um dann nur im Foyer mit ein paar eingefleischten, hartgesottenen Jungens wie euch auf englisch zu schreiben (und der Rest des Boardes schwallt vor sich hin, mit überaus vielen deutschen Phrasen und Redewendungen)... ... nö, da glaube ich vielmehr an das, wie ich es selber auch einige Male handhabe (in meinem Fall: englisch schreiben, schwedisch lesen). ... und, was sagt Ruby selber dazu? ;) [und mit einem hast Du recht: ich kann kein einziges Wort niederländisch... von daher *g*] Orca |
